This little girl is my Baby Minnie, she is the tiniest Chihuahua in the world and I love her so much! I added the photos of her in my tea mug and asleep under my hand so that you can see how really tiny she is! Her parents are also very tiny.
She has such a wonderful and funny little personality and is never in a bad mood, never.
She spends all her waking and sleeping hours with me and is here with me on my lap as I am typing this post...
She often loves to "tap" the keys with her little paws and is very curious as to what I am doing for so long sitting in front of this strange screen with light-projected pictures and words! "Humans are so strange!" although she thinks she is human!
From time to time I will look at her and her eyes are constantly fixated on my face, so I give her lots of kisses... she loves being kissed and always kisses back too!
Minnie loves watching films on Dvd with me and she gets herself all comfortable laying between my neck and my shoulder as we lay on the bed, her eyes glued to the television the whole time. Sometimes I look at her and say "Are you enjoying the film my darling?!" and she looks at me with her eyes of love as if to say "Yes Daddy it's great!!"
She loves all kinds of films but her absolute favourites are romantic comedies with great soundtracks! She can't wait until "Marley & Me" is released on Dvd!!
As you can guess she is very spoilt! and totally deserves it! No argument there - she is my little baby after all.
She has always slept in our bed with us and loves bedtime when I say to her "Shall we go beddy-byes?!" she knows it's time to sleep in her Daddy's arms all night, snuggled up close and sometimes with her tiny head on my pillow next to me. She has always slept all through the night with no crying or fuss, the perfect baby!
In the Winter she loves to wear her little doggie clothes and there is a woman I know who sells them, and she makes them especially for her (to her measured size) as most shop-bought ones don't fit her, as even the smallest ones are much too big.
Minnie has a very large "Winter Collection" from high-necked European style fleecy sweaters to little towelling t-shirts and baby-grow all-in-ones!
When the weather turns cold she "asks" me for her clothes and gets so excited when it's time to "get dressed"!
As you can guess she gets very cold during the Winter months and her little clothes keep her all nice and warm. She loves them!
She has a tiny teddy-bear that she loves to play with and often runs around the bedroom with it in her mouth and brings it to me to throw for her, this is her favourite game and she can play that for hours until she wears herself out.
When we go on holiday she comes with us (when she can) as we always look for a hotel that allows small dogs and she loves having holidays and exploring hotel rooms. Of course her teddy comes along too to keep her company when we go out.
When I take her to the vets for her vaccinations or to get her nails cut everyone falls in love with her, they all want to pet her and ask me all about her. Everyone is always amazed at how very tiny she is and how much she looks like a tiny new-born puppy (even though she is now 18 months old)
Minnie gives them her little look, kisses everyone she meets, then looks at me with her eyes of pure unconditional love and says "Let's go home Daddy! I want to play the teddy game and watch some films!"
I couldn't live without my very special and very beautiful little girl!

In one of the pics on this post she is wearing her "lemon-coloured high-neck Zsa-Zsa Gabor style" one! haha :D X
Cutest little dog and lovely post. Do be careful though not to roll over on her at night.
Hi Moannie,
Thanks! Yes I was worried about that in the beginning but I've kind of controlled my sleep pattern to know that she's there, and she also lets me know if I'm about to make her uncomfortable - she's got me well-trained! haha X
Oh my gosh, she is so tiny-tiny! I'll bet she is just the sweetest thing.
Peace - D
Hi Doris!
Thanks so much! She really is! I just love her to bits!!!!
Big Hug Dear Friend! X
Completely gorgeous. I fear Molly would eat her for breakfast though!!
CJ xx
Hi CJ,
Thanks!
Yes that is a certainty! Minnie lives separately from Bridget and Lucy (my Labrador and a cross-breed) she lives upstairs with me whilst the 2 girls live downstairs...
Although they do "mix" every day or so to play downstairs and they all get along really well, although everything totally supervised by me of course! X
OMG! I could just shower her with kisses all over! How can you resist?
I'd take her everywhere with me. I'm in love....can you tell???
Minnie is so cute!!! Dogs are really our best friends and they are never in a bad mood!! Have you seen "Marley and me"? Good post, my friend!
Hi Carol,
Haha Thanks! I'm addicted to kissing her! She's so used to it that she gives her face to me to kiss! haha X
Hi Isabella,
Great to see you here!
Thanks my friend, It's true they really are our best friends!
I have seen "Marley & Me" and I loved it as I also bought and read the book when it was first released! - a must for us who have Labradors eh?!
What surprised me about so-called tea-cup chihuahua's is how clever they are considering the size of their brain! My wife seriously considered getting one last November, but settled for a golden retriever instead. We've got a 3 year old girl & toddlers & miniature dogs don't mix!
Hi Robert,
Yes it's true they are amazingly intelligent!! she seems to understand everything that I say to her and learns extremely fast!
It's also so true that tiny dogs and children don't mix...
I almost stepped on her foot when I first got her, however she learned really fast not to get under my feet while I am walking.
I had a Golden Retriever in England for many, many years and, like Labradors, they are also highly intelligent! and wonderful companions for children!
Thanks for stopping by!
You are a riot! That baby is heartwarmingly beautiful. What a terrific post - loved the bit about her winter wardrobe. And the photo's - God she is just adorable.
Well done on your post of the day award. X
Hi MOB,
Thanks so much Dear Friend!
Anytime you want to babysit just give me a shout! haha X
Oh, oh, oh - cutie patootie. She wouldn't last 5 minutes in this house with my big clumsy kids I'm afraid.
Haha! Thanks Expat mum!! X
I have absolutely fallen in love with that little dog.
I don't normally approve of dressing dogs up in clothes, but as she is so small, she is probably in need of extra warmth...... so you are forgiven! LOL
Congratulations on POTD. Lovely post!
Hi Maggie,
Thank you so much dear friend!
Yes she gets ever so cold in the Winter, and as I live up in the mountains here it can get quite cold...
She starts shivering as soon as a bit of cold weather arrives and she loves the comfort of all her little wooly and fleecy clothes which keep her all snuggly and warm! (apart from the fact that she always wants to be next to me or on my lap/shoulder/neck! haha) X
How cute is she
Please post more pics in her different outfits i would love love to see them
